The bride’s hole legend.
According to which a young bride was marrying without her wish but had to accept the father’s decision and respect the custom by marrying whom her father had decided. The bridal party members were returning after they had taken the young bride and when they reached the place where the cave is today, the bride told them that they were taking her to the man without her consent but they did not respond.
Praying to the Lord to save her, she addresses the Canyon Rock and says, “Open, Rock, to escape this embarrassment that has overwhelmed me.” The rock heard it and immediately opened a cavity. The bride jumped off the horse and hid in this hole, causing the bridal members to return to the village without the bride. From that moment this place became a pilgrimage site for young brides in the area seeking to birth children.
